It was an average night in San Jose, getting ready to wind down from a rather eventful convention day at FanimeCon, when one of my conventiongoer companions suggested that we stay up just a little longer to see what the night life would be like at an Anime convention. Reluctantly I followed (as I assumed everyone else would be as tired as I was) and found that there were many activities (structured for adults) at night.

There are 18+ movies playing all night long if you feel like sitting in a dark room and watching violence or nudity on the big screen. There is usually a dance playing loud and repetitive music, if you feel like dancing yourself into an alcohol induced coma. Usually you can find an arcade that has the latest and greatest video games in the industry, from fighting games to the newest Dance Dance Revolution. Last but not least there are 18+ discussion boards and panels, that are usually fun and entertaining (and can cover the things they can't cover during the day).

So next time that your at a convention and exhausted from running from the exhibit hall, to the sellers room, to the various panels of the day -- save some energy for the night and come out and play. I bet you'll have a good time.
